Mamie Taylor is said to have been a very popular cocktail in the first half of the 20th century. It is also considered to be a cocktail that served as an inspiration for the famous Moscow Mule. Regardless of the history Mamie Taylor is a delicious simple tall drink, perfectly suited to be sipped on warm evenings.

The most prominent flavor in this cocktail is the sharp, zingy bite of the ginger beer. No doubt about it. Scotch is a perfect spirit to go along with the qualities of ginger beer. Strong oak and dried fruit notes of the scotch blend seamlessly into the cocktail. An addition of lime juice brings a touch of fruity freshness and lightness brightening the cocktail up. Altogether, Mamie Taylor is a remarkably simple, quick and easy to make cocktail. Fantastic choice for anyone looking for a quick refreshing drink to sip while sitting on the garden terrace.
