There is no doubt that this cocktail has been highly inspired by Midori Sour and in my opinion, it managed to improve and overcome its predecessor with depth and complexity of taste.

Base of this cocktail is formed by bringing together Japanese liqueur and Peruvian pisco, two ingredients that rarely meet in the same drink. However, combination of the two works wonders in this cocktail. Melon liqueur could be rather sweet at times and mixing it with dry earthy notes of pisco helps to establish a balance in the drink. The blend of lemon and lime juices plays a very important role, not only increasing the complexity of the taste, providing some fresh sourness, but offsetting sweetness of the liqueur and almond syrup.

If you are looking for an interesting cocktail to taste Nipo-Peruana is a great choice. It starts with a very imaginative set of ingredients and ends with a fantastic taste.
