Rome with a View is a remarkable cocktail in a way it captures the spirit of a warm summer evening in a glass. It is a delicious low ABV cocktail, perfect as a refreshment on a hot summer’s day. You can easily spend evening sipping on this cocktail, feeling happy, refreshed and not worry about the head ache the day after.

Focus of this cocktail is of course the Campari. It is immediately striking you from the very first sip with its heavily bitter orange and cherry notes. Bitterness is nicely balanced by a healthy dose of tart and vibrant lime juice. An addition of dry vermouth introduces some floral and fruity flavours complementing other ingredients, but at the same time staying in the background. All of it is balanced by a final touch of simple syrup, letting the notes of different ingredients pop just a little bit more and bring everything into a cohesive whole.

Rome with a View is a fantastic cocktail, light yet sophisticated in its taste and balance. I can easily see myself drinking a few of these on a summer holiday.
