Cocktail author: I found a few variations of this cocktail, but not the actual original author.

Margarita – a cocktail that needs no introduction. It is beloved around the world, inspired countless other drinks and stays popular year after year, not many drinks can boast of that. Napoleon Margarita is a simple riff on this classic cocktail, with a subtle fruity twist.

Base of the cocktail is formed by reposado tequila with those mellowed out, aged notes of agave and just a hint of vanilla. Spirit is then paired with cognac based mandarin liqueur (Mandarine Napoleon), bringing taste of Sicilian mandarins and subtle notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. Aged aspect of both ingredients allows them to pair seamlessly and increases the flavour complexity. Fresh lime juice, provides that familiar bold tartness we know and love from a traditional Margarita. Just a touch of agave syrup helps to balance the cocktail out, but still retains cocktail’s dry nature. A few drops of bitters is a must. It helps to bring the ingredients together and pronounces the individual notes of ingredients.

All in all, this seems like a simple riff, but it creates a rather unique Margarita – fruitier and drier, than the original. If you love Margaritas, then you must try this one.
