Recipe author: I could not pin point the exact author of this cocktail, but it clearly is a riff on Harry Yee’s Blue Hawaii.

Blue Hawaiian is a tropical drink unmistakably intended to be enjoyed when sitting on a sandy beach in a scorching hot sun. Drink itself is clearly influenced by Harry Yee’s Blue Hawaii (It is way too easy to mix these two cocktails. I believe I have made this mistake in the beginning :) It took me a little while until I realized that it is actually two different cocktails, although very similar.)
All in all, it is a light, exotic cocktail, perfectly refreshing and stunning to look at. If you love Piña Coladas, but would like to try something just a little bit different (but not too much). Then you will like this cocktail, taste profiles are quite similar. With Rum, pineapple juice and cream of coconut you cannot go wrong.
