When looking for a simple and refreshing summer cocktail, one must definitely give Caipiroska a try. It is incredibly simple to make, does not require long or complicated list of ingredients and can be quickly modified, to suit almost anybody’s taste.

Secret to a great Caipiroska is a good vodka and fresh ingredients. Being a neutral spirit, vodka enables this drink to be riffed on with ease. Adding a personal touch of your favourite berries, fruits or even liqueurs requires only minor tweaks to balance the cocktail.

Overall, flavour profile of the cocktail is not overly complicated, yet unbelievably refreshing. Perfect for scorching hot summer days.

This time, I decided to make two more riffs, in addition to the classic: one with blackberries and one with raspberries. My personal preference was blackberries, they lend an extra depth and dimension to the cocktail, turning it into a truly great drink. If you have a chance, I highly recommend giving it a try.
