If you are looking for a new and exciting cocktail, then you won’t need to look any further than Brock Schulte’s Conflict & Compromise. It is described as Margarita variation and while I can see the similarities, I would never refer to it as one. For me this cocktail is so different from a classic Margarita starting with colour and ending with taste, that it feels like it would be an oversimplification to refer to it as just a variation.

Tequila, lime juice and agave nectar are the ingredients that work so well together and form the base of the cocktail loaned from the Margarita. Yet here is where the similarities end. First, we get an addition of Midori, with its sweet melon notes playing together with vegetable notes of tequila and sourness of lime. An addition of jalapeño and coriander bring some more spice and herbaceousness to the mix elevating the complexity of the drink and drawing even more flavour from tequila.

Conflict & Compromise is an incredibly tasty cocktail, if you like coriander that is. And it is a must try for any tequila lover.
