COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS:
- 60 ml Pisco
- 22,5 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- 22,5 ml Simple Syrup
- Large strawberry cut in half

GARNISH:
- Half of the Strawberry
- Pinch of Salt

INSTRUCTIONS:
• Muddle half of the strawberry in a cocktail shaker and save the other half for garnish.
• Add the remaining ingredients.
• Add ice and shake vigorously.
• Strain over fresh crushed ice into a cocktail glass.
• Garnish with the remaining half of the strawberry and a pinch of salt.

This is my first encounter with the South American spirit Pisco. This simple, yet elegant cocktail is delicious and well balanced. The fruitiness of strawberries is noticeable, but not overpowering, acting more as an essential accent to the cocktail, but not necessarily the main staple. In other words, it is not stealing too much attention away from the main spirit in the cocktail. I think this could be a perfect drink for all sour, spirit forward and fruity cocktail lovers.
