Cocktail author: So far I could not uncover cocktail author or undisputed origin story.

Miami Vice, simply hearing those words one immediately thinks of the 80s and this cocktail has all the staples of the era: sweet, colourful and decadent from start to finish. In essence Miami Vice is a blend of two cocktails: Strawberry Daiquiri and Piña Colada. Surprisingly the mix works quite well, resulting in a lovely cocktail full of tropical spirit and flavour.

Both cocktails share the same base spirit forming common foundation and allowing different cocktail profiles to complement each other. I strongly recommend pouring the second cocktail slowly, so you achieve a layering effect and the two drinks do not mix entirely. This way the cocktail will take you on a voyage. At first a sip of Piña Colada with strong pineapple and coconut notes. Then a sip of fresh light and fruity Strawberry Daiquiri. Eventually, while the cocktail sits, the two fuses together forming something completely new. Truly pleasurable drinking experience.
