Ti’ Punch
COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS:
- 60 ml Rhum Agricole Blanc
- 5 ml Rich Cane Sugar Syrup
- Half of Lime
GARNISH:
- Lime Twist
- Dehydrated Lime Wheel
INSTRUCTIONS:
• In a cocktail glass add half of lime, cut into wedges, and rich sugar cane syrup.
• Muddle the lime to release the juice.
• Add rhum agricole.
• Add ice and stir to combine the ingredients and cool down the cocktail.
• Garnish with a twist of lime and dehydrated lime wheel.

Ti’ Punch is one of Caribbean staples, originating on the islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe. It is a classic cocktail based on Rhum Agricole, a style of rum native to aforementioned islands and Ti’ Punch is its signature cocktail.
Cocktail itself is a very simple drink consisting of only three ingredients: Rhum Agricole, lime and cane sugar. In its template it is somewhat similar to Caipirinha with a couple of twists and turns. However, I cannot tell with any certainty which came first.
Primary flavour of the cocktail is defined by those grassy, vegetal, musty notes of Rhum Agricole Blanc. It pairs great with the tartness and fresh aroma of lime, while being balanced by the floral honey notes of sugar cane syrup.
All in all, Ti’ Punch might be simple little cocktail, but sometimes it is exactly what you need. A cocktail, that enables all of the ingredients, especially the base spirit, to shine through and be tasted clearly without overcomplicating things.
