Next cocktail on my summer spritz list is an intriguing recipe by Rich Woods, combining citrus and cacao in a glass full of effervescence.

Boozy kick of the cocktail is provided by the London dry gin and those familiar juniper notes. White crème de cacao brings sweet and indulgent chocolate tones taking the cocktail in a decadent direction. Dash of lemon bitters adds a touch of citrusy freshness together with the tartness and peel oils of lemon wedge. A touch of simple syrup helps to balance the previous ingredients for the pleasurable drinking experience. The usual spritz suspects of a splash of soda water and prosecco brings the delicious effervescence as well as light and fruity notes nicely binding the cocktail together.

All in all, Cacao and Lemon Spritz is a delicate, sophisticated and intriguing spritz recipe. It takes sweet and tropical notes of cacao and blends it with quintessential European drinks like gin and prosecco. A tasty fusion in a form of spritz.
