Flinn’s Après Steazy
COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS:
- 45 ml Amaro Lucano
- 22,5 ml Rye Whiskey
- 22,5 ml Campari
- 15 ml Elderflower Liqueur
- 22,5 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- Lemon Peel
GARNISH:
- Edible Flower
- Dehydrated Lemon Wheel
INSTRUCTIONS:
• Combine all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
• Add ice and shake until chilled.
• Double strain into a cocktail glass over large block of fresh ice.
• Express lemon peel oils over the top.
• Garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel and an edible flower.

Post ski trip cocktails are usually warm Hot Toddy or Mulled Wine style drinks, intended to help you warm up after an eventful day outdoors. Flinn Pomeroy’s take on this type of cocktail is completely unique. Served cold, with strong notes of bitter earthy amaro quickly distinguishes Flinn’s Après Steazy from the pack.
Base of the cocktail is unconventionally formed by Amaro Lucano with complex bitter-sweet earthy notes paired with Campari, a one more amaro, and the bitter-sweet orange taste it is known and loved for. Together these two lay a solid foundation to build on. Rye Whiskey brings a touch of peppery oak to the mix offsetting the bold amari and raising the proof of the drink. Elderflower liqueur adds some floral tones to the cocktail lightening it up and bringing another dimension. Finally, lemon juice tames the sweet and bitter notes while providing the all-important freshness.
All in all, Flinn’s Après Steazy is a new and fresh take on a post ski drink, that is just as delicious even on a rainy evening with no snow in sight.
