Cocktail author: cocktail has it’s roots in a 1840s London.

Pimm’s No 1 is almost a cocktail in itself, though it is the best known as an ingredient in Pimm’s Cup, a traditional English summer cocktail which also happens to be a staple of Wimbledon tennis tournament.

As the name suggests Pimm’s No. 1 is the main ingredient bringing a rather complex flavour profile to the mix with bitter-sweet floral notes, subtle hints of cinnamon, liquorice, dark chocolate and the lingering aftertaste similar to cola. It is a blend of different flavours like no other. An addition of fresh lemon juice, brightens up the cocktail and helps to bring those various notes of Pimm’s to life. Ginger Ale introduces a sharp and distinct ginger bite as well as a little bit of extra sweetness. Combine that with the lavish garnish of seasonal fruits and herbs to finish off the cocktail and you have yourself something truly beautiful and delicious.

Pimm’s Cup is a true summer staple: light, refreshing and tasty to the very last drop. It will surely be a hit at your next garden party, so give it a try.
