Honey Syrup

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 part Water
- 3 parts Honey

PREPARATION:

• Measure your ingredients (by volume).
• Combine water and honey in a pot and heat it on the stove (on a low setting).
• Stir until the syrup becomes uniform.
• Pour syrup into a sterilized container. (I usually sterilize my bottles with boiling water.)

A great syrup, bringing additional complexity and flavor to the cocktail.

With this one shelf life is a bit more complicated, I had a batch that sat in the fridge for a month and was still tasty, while other batch went bad in just a couple of weeks. I have not tried adding a little bit of vodka or rum to it in order to extend the shelf life, but I will update this post if I get some new knowledge to share.
