Bebbo

COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS:
- 60 ml Gin (London Dry)
- 15 ml Fresh Orange Juice
- 15 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- 15 ml Honey Syrup

GARNISH:
- Angostura Bitters
- Lemon Twist
- Sprig of Mint

INSTRUCTIONS:
• Combine all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
• Add ice and shake until chilled.
• Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
• Garnish with a lemon twist, sprig of mint and a stripe of Angostura bitters.

Bee’s Knees is a well-known classic cocktail beloved to this day. On the other hand, Bebbo is its close cousin that sort of slipped into obscurity, yet just as tasty.

Core of the cocktail remains the same as Bee’s Knees with slightly different proportions. Base spirit is London dry gin with those signature juniper notes. The tartness is brough by fresh and fragrant lemon juice. Which are then tamed by sweet, delicate and floral honey syrup. The main difference between Bebbo and its predecessor is addition of orange juice – bright, fruity and slightly tangy, pairing incredibly well with honey syrup and increasing the overall flavour complexity. Final touch of Angostura bitters adds some gentle tropical spice, seasoning the cocktail and expanding fragrant dimension of the cocktail.

Bebbo is a simple yet delicious and effective riff on the classic Bee’s Knees, with a citrusy twist. Orange juice blends great with other ingredients and together with lemon juice transforms the tart dimension of the cocktail. Delicious to the very last drop.
