Cocktail author: none of the articles that I have read about this cocktail mentioned the creator of this drink, so I guess, as it stands at the moment, nobody is really sure who came up with this idea.

Margarita is already a fantastic drink, so it did not take a lot of convincing to try this devilish version of it.

Devil’s Margarita differs from its better-known predecessor in a couple of key aspects. Blanco tequila and lime juice are the key staples of a good margarita shared by both cocktails. However, this cocktail is sweetened by the simple syrup rather than triple sec and finished with a red wine float. Elimination of triple sec and salt rim lets combination of tequila, lime and fruity red wine really come together and take center stage. In this particular case salt and triple sec would most likely just be a distraction, hiding the simple elegance of this cocktail and making it overly complicated.

If you are a in the mood to change your Margarita game, this cocktail is great place to start.
