This is my latest experiment with homemade Japanese Quince cordial.
Cordial combined with gin forms the base of the cocktail. Japanese quince pairs fantastically well with vanilla liqueur and rose water bringing out the individual tastes and combining them into a tasty cocktail. Since my cordial was a bit on a sweet side, I added some lemon juice to balance it out. Finally, color contrast created by adding the bitters creates and inviting image for a first sip.
I recommend a dry style gin for this cocktail (I used Kadagine by Gintaro Sino Wine). Vanilla and rose water notes are powerful enough on their own. A very aromatic gin could make the cocktail a bit too confusing, in my opinion.
