I was pleasantly surprised when I found this recipe, mainly because it features bourbon and it is not the most common ingredient in tiki style cocktails.

The Mastadon is a cocktail that packs quite a punch. Rum and Bourbon is an unusual, but interesting combination. Rum with its sweet molasses notes pairs well with nutty oak flavors of the bourbon and are reinforced by the vanilla from Licor 43 and cherry of Maraschino. Lime juice and passionfruit brings some zingy freshness to the mix with pineapple juice tying everything together. As you probably guessed describing the taste of this cocktail is quite a challenge. The shear list of ingredients could make your head spin. So, to keep a long story short, the one thing anyone needs to know about this cocktail is, that if you want to end the season of tropical drinks on a high note, this is the cocktail for you.
