Scotch and Applejack sounds like a match made in heaven, especially at this extensively rainy and darkening time of the year. Full Windsor takes this spirit pairing and serves it as a delicious fall cocktail destined to brighten up your evenings.
As you probably already guessed the base of the cocktail is split between oaky, peppery notes of blended scotch and vibrant fruitiness of applejack. Flavours are then paired with bold sweet herbaceousness of benedictine elevating the cocktail complexity to a new level. Addition of sweet vermouth further expands the cocktail profile by introducing sweet tones of caramel, cacao and vanilla. Blend of Angostura and Peychaud’s bitters seasons the cocktail with tropical spices and a hint of absinthe, helping to integrate the individual ingredients and notes.
All in all, Full Windsor is a delightfully complex and boozy cocktail, fit not only for novices, but also seasoned cocktail lovers.
