I love a good sour style cocktail and Starman Sour was a delightfully delicious discovery for me. Being light, refreshing, tart and full of complex flavour it checked all the boxes.

Base of the cocktail is formed by the classic juniper forward London dry gin, but kept at a modest amount of 30 ml. It is then paired with Amaro Nonino - a bitter-sweet liqueur with notes of orange, vanilla, honey, various herbs and spices. Amaro brings a lot of complexity to the mix, while at the same time laying a bridge between the base spirit and apricot liqueur, which adds some rich stone fruit notes to the mix. Healthy does of lemon juice balances out the sweetness and turns this cocktail in a true and refreshing sour. Final addition of orange bitters, deliciously seasons the cocktail and binds the ingredients together coaxing out the fruity and citrusy nature of the drink to the forefront.

Starman Sour is a deliciously refreshing and complex cocktail, prefect for garden parties or when you are simply looking for a tasty drink to relax with in the evening.
